to pull ribbon through a hole in polymer (or any other solid material), use a piece of thin wire, bend it in half and push the folded end through the hole. Open the folded wire, slip the end of the ribbon through, and pull the wire (+ribbon) back out of the hole, dragging the ribbon through. Tah dah!
